Raptors Uprising GC squared off against Blazer5 Gaming on Night 2 of THE TIPOFF, powered by AT&T. Both teams have played well in the regular season, and RUG currently owns the best record in the 2K League. RUG had it going early, posting a 18-11 lead at the end of the first quarter that was fueled by 12 points from Kenny Got Work and seven boards from Sick One. Raptors Uprising GC won the second quarter and took a 31-21 lead into the break. Kenny Got Work led RUG with 12 points, while Blazer5 Gaming’s OneWildWalnut compiled an early double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

RUG kept up the blitz in the second half, mounting a 54-36 lead heading into the fourth quarter as Kenny Got Work and Sick One led the charge. Raptors Uprising GC took Game 1 by a score of 73-58. Kenny Got Work led all scorers with 35 points and added eight assists. Sick One finished with 16 points and 13 boards, and Timelycook chipped in 13 points. For Blazer5 Gaming, Mama Im Dat Man scored 25, while OneWildWalnut ended with 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Game 2 was another one-sided affair, as RUG got out to a 42-26 lead at halftime thanks to balanced play across the board. Three starters scored in double figures, with Kenny Got Work and Timelycook posting 13 each and Sick One adding 10. Blazer5 Gaming was a one-man show in the first half, as Mama Im Dat Man scored 15 of the team’s 26 points. The lead got out of hand in the second half, and Raptors Uprising GC piled on points in droves en route to a 93-65 win. For Blazer5 Gaming, Mama Im Dat Man once again did the heavy lifting with 26 points and six assists. OneWildWalnut provided 16 points and 10 boards for a second straight double-double. RUG got big games from most of its starters to account for the massive point disparity. Kenny Got Work had a massive double-double with 35 points and 18 assists, Timelycook scored 20, ReeceMode went for 15, and Sick One notched 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists.

Raptors Uprising GC asserted its dominance against a strong team in Blazer5 Gaming and will take a 2-0 record into its matchup with Lakers Gaming later tonight. Blazer5 Gaming will look to avenge its rocky start when it takes on Gen.G Tigers later this evening to conclude pool play for Day 2 of THE TIPOFF, powered by AT&T.
