76ers GC faced off against Pistons GT in Group 1 play on opening night of THE TIPOFF, powered by AT&T. 76ers GC built a 39-30 lead at halftime, but Pistons GT didn’t go away quietly. A five-point third-quarter advantage brought Pistons GT within four, and the team made a strong push in the final frame. It was back and forth until the final minute when the game got truly exciting.

76ers Gaming took a 60-58 lead with just under 20 seconds remaining, and Pistons GC hoisted a contested three that rattled off the glass. Ramo grabbed a huge offensive board and greenlighted a bank shot with just under 10 seconds in the game to notch the score at 60. 76ers Gaming inbounded the ball quickly and Scretty hit a mid-range jumper in traffic to break the tie and go up 62-60. With no timeouts remaining and only a little more than a second to play, Pistons GC threw the ball the length of the court where it was knocked out of bounds by 76ers Gaming. Pistons GC had a great look at a lob on the inbounds, but the alley-oop didn’t fall, and Pistons GC lost a thrilling contest.

For 76ers GC, Radiant provided 19 points and 11 assists, while Steez went for 14 points and 13 boards as both players double-doubled in the win. Scretty led the team in scoring with 21 points, though none were bigger than his final two, which proved to be the go-ahead bucket. For Pistons GT, Demon JT led the way with 21 points, and Ramo double-doubled with 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Pistons GT flipped the script in Game 2, taking a 36-32 lead into halftime thanks to 11 points each from Demon JT and DevGoss. Radiant led all scorers in the half with 14, while Ramo nearly double-doubled with 10 points and seven rebounds. Pistons GT kept it up in the second half, opening with a 13-12 advantage in the third quarter to extend the lead to 49-44.

Pistons GT have struggled mightily in the fourth quarter this season but maintained its composure to finish off 76ers Gaming 65-58 in Game 2. Demon JT finished with 18, DevGoss went for 17, and Ramo stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, nine boards, seven assists and five steals. Radiant went for a game-high 27 points to go with six assists, while Steez totaled 21 points and 18 rebounds.
After struggling all season long, Pistons GT took Game 2 in a surprising win that split this opening series. Both teams will face Nets GC in separate two-game series later Tuesday to conclude pool play for Group 1.
