2023 NBA 2K League Cash Prize Pool and Bonus Information

The NBA 2K League will award $2.5 million in cash prize money across THE BANNER CHAIN SERIES Powered by AT&T and Coinbase NBA 2KL 3v3 BLACKTOP SERIES tournaments, with the largest portion reserved for the 5v5 NBA 2KL Finals champions.

There are multiple opportunities for teams to win prize money, including both 5v5 and 3v3 tournaments, influencer events, and the NBA 2KL Championships.  THE BANNER CHAIN Powered by AT&T and the NBA 2KL 5v5 Playoffs and Finals will continue to feature only NBA 2K League teams.  Community Teams from around the world will have the opportunity to participate alongside NBA 2K League teams for a share of the 3v3 tournament prize pool beginning with the Coinbase NBA 2KL 3v3 SLAM OPEN.

Coinbase NBA 2KL 3v3 BLACKTOP SERIES

  • March 8 – April 1: SLAM OPEN – $150,000 cash prize pool
  • April 4 – 29: SWITCH OPEN – $150,000 cash prize pool
  • May 5 – 6: STEAL OPEN – $25,000 cash prize pool
  • May 10 – 13: NBA 2KL 3v3 Playoffs and Finals – $600,000 cash prize pool (first place – $225,000, second place – $105,000, third place – $70,000, fourth place – $50,000, fifth and sixth place – $30,000, seventh and eighth place – $20,000, ninth through twelfth place – $10,000, thirteenth and fourteenth place – $5,000)

  • May 23 – June 17: THE TIPOFF – $250,000 total prize pool
  • June 20 – July 22: THE TURN – $250,000 total prize pool
  • July 28 – 29: THE TICKET – $25,000 total prize pool
  • August 2 – 5: NBA 2KL 5v5 Playoffs and Finals – $1,000,000 total prize pool (first place – $500,000, second place – $200,000, third place – $80,000, fourth place – $80,000, fifth through eighth place – $25,000, ninth through twelfth place – $10,000)

Player Bonuses

Top performers from the 2023 season who are recognized as recipients of five of the NBA 2K League Awards will earn bonus compensation.  Those NBA 2K League Awards and compensation values are as follows:

(1) Most Valuable Player – $15,000

(2) Defensive Player of the Year – $7,500

(3) Rookie of the Year – $7,500

(4) Coach of the Year – $5,000

(5) Most Improved Player – $5,000
