Juan Pablo Aravena | RotoWire

Warriors Gaming Squad and Lakers Gaming tied 1-1 in their two-game series Saturday. Warriors Gaming Squad won the first game of the matchup after overtime (78-77), while Lakers Gaming won Game 2 by a 75-71 score.

Warriors Gaming Squad got off to a strong start and while they lost control of the game midway through the matchup, they still found a way to adjust, force overtime, and escape with the victory in the final seconds. Warriors Gaming Squad won the first quarter by a 17-15 score, but Lakers Gaming responded almost instantly and evened things up at the break following a 17-15 second quarter as well. Lakers Gaming seemed on pace to come away with the victory after a 16-11 score in the third quarter, but Warriors Gaming woke up just in time to turn things around and force overtime with a 25-20 fourth-quarter score. Warriors Gaming Squad and Lakers Gaming played a tight matchup in overtime, but Warriors Gaming came away with the one-point victory once it was all said and done.

CB13 led Warriors Gaming in this overtime win after finishing with 34 points and 13 assists, while Hezi also surpassed the 30-point mark with a 31-point, 14-rebound effort. Both players scored 64 of the team’s 78 points, so it wasn’t surprising to see that no other Warriors Gaming player scored in double digits in this one. ReeseDaGod had 26 points for Lakers Gaming and was the team’s best player, while Krazy chipped in with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Tactuk delivered 12 points while shooting 5-for-7 from the field for the losing cause.

Lakers Gaming played with a different attitude in Game 2 of the series and quickly jumped out to a 21-19 lead in the first quarter, a lead they extended to five points following a 21-18 score in the second quarter. However, Warriors Gaming flipped the script in the second half and jumped out to a one-point advantage with only five minutes left on the clock after outscoring Lakers Gaming by an 18-12 score in the third quarter. Lakers Gaming flipped the script once again in the fourth quarter, though, and they outscored their rivals by a 21-16 score in the fourth quarter. That was enough to lead Lakers Gaming to a victory and a series split.

Krazy was the best player for Lakers Gaming in Game 2 with a 22-point performance that also included nine rebounds, six assists, three blocks and two steals. ReeseDaGod and Seese each ended with 16 points, though it’s worth noting ReeseDaGod also had seven assists, while BOHIO had 12 points.
