NBA 2K League Power Rankings: Wizards District Gaming Make Biggest Leap Up Rankings As We Head Into the Final Week of the Regular Season

As we head into the final week of the NBA 2K League regular season, two familiar teams sit atop the latest power rankings.

They are Blazer5 Gaming and 76ers GC, who occupied the top positions in the season’s inaugural rankings in May, albeit in reverse order. Both squads have already secured their playoff spot.

Still, four more playoff berths are up for grabs in what figures to be an unpredictable final slate of games.

Up with a Rocket!

A huge upset victory propelled Wizards District Gaming up three spots to No. 6.

Falling Back

A second straight loss pushed Cavs Legion GC to No. 9, down two spots from last week.

  1. Blazer5 Gaming

Regular-season record: 11-2

Last week: 1

The downside for Blazer5 was they suffered only their second loss of the regular season. The upside was they showed resilience in turning an early 22-point deficit into a two-possession game late before succumbing to Wizards District. They’re already locked into the No. 1 seed for the playoffs with a finale against Pacers Gaming upcoming.

  1. 76ers GC

Regular-season record: 9-4

Last week: 4

These guys look like they’ve got their mojo back. After a rough stretch a few weeks back, 76ers GC have won two straight following this week’s 24-point dismantling of Pistons GT in a battle of top-3 teams in the standings. They officially clinched a playoff spot with the win and would get the No. 2 overall seed with another win.

  1. Pistons GT

Regular-season record: 9-4

Last week: 2

All Pistons GT needed was a win this week to secure their playoff spot. After dropping the opener of a doubleheader in lopsided fashion to 76ers GC, they regrouped and held on against Magic Gaming in the nightcap to clinch. They currently sit in third place and have a shot at the second seed with one game remaining.

  1. Heat Check Gaming

Regular-season record: 7-4

Last week: 3

Did not play. Heat Check will play a tripleheader in Week 12 (Kings Guard Gaming, Raptors Uprising GC, Grizz Gaming). They currently sit in fourth place. Two wins will likely get them into the playoffs.

  1. Celtics Crossover Gaming

Regular-season record: 7-6

Last week: 6

On the heels of a blowout loss in Week 10, Celtics Crossover bounced back with an all-important win over Cavs Legion this week. oFAB scored 19 of his 24 points in the second half while ARSONAL x finished with 15 points and 20 rebounds in the triumph. Celtics Crossover is in eighth place heading into their finale vs Magic Gaming.

  1. Wizards District Gaming

Regular-season record: 7-6

Last week: 9

As far as big wins go, this was Wizards District’s biggest to date. Needing a victory to stay in the playoff mix while facing the league’s top team, they raced out to a huge lead before holding on to beat Blazer5. Boo Painter put on another outworldly performance with 57 points in a win that pushed his squad into seventh place.

  1. Magic Gaming

Regular-season record: 7-5

Last week: 5

Magic Gaming had an opportunity to bolster their playoff odds this week. They ended up one-point short in a tough loss to Pistons GT to suffer their first loss in five games. They currently sit in fifth place and control their own destiny with games against Cavs Legion GC and Celtics Crossover Gaming to close the regular season.

  1. Raptors Uprising GC

Regular-season record: 7-6

Last week: 8

The crew from up north have completely turned their campaign around and are tied for the league’s longest active win streak with four straight. Raptors Uprising held on late against Grizz Gaming in a game that was essentially must-win to keep their playoff hopes afloat. They are among four teams currently in the best position to grab one of the final two playoff spots.

  1. Cavs Legion GC

Regular-season record: 7-6
Last week: 7

They haven’t made it easy on themselves in trying to lock in a playoff spot. Cavs Legion have dropped two straight, including their most recent setback to Celtics Crossover. They still sit in sixth place in the standings, but will likely need a win against Magic Gaming to close the regular season in order to take part in the postseason.

  1. Knicks Gaming

Regular-season record: 5-8

Last week: 10

With their playoff spot already secured as a result of winning THE TICKET, they’re trying to carry as much momentum as possible into postseason. 1. Mavs Gaming

Regular-season record: 5-7

Last week: 12

Did not play. Mavs Gaming will play a doubleheader in Week 12 (Kings Guard Gaming, Bucks Gaming). They currently are in 11th place, and while they haven’t been eliminated, they need two wins and a ton of help to keep pace.

  1. Grizz Gaming

Regular-season record: 5-8

Last week: 13

Much like they showed resilience in turning around their season, Grizz Gaming showed the same fight with their season on the line. They unfortunately came up a bucket short, falling to Raptors Uprising this week in being eliminated from the playoffs. AuthenticAfrican poured in 33 points a week after setting the league’s single-game scoring record with 84 points..

  1. Bucks Gaming

  1. Jazz Gaming

Regular-season record: 5-8

Last week: 14

This one’s going to sting for a while. Needing a win to avoid being eliminated from playoff contention, they surrendered a double-digit lead in the second half in eventually losing to Knicks Gaming in OT. It’s been a tough finish for Jazz Gaming, who have dropped six straight games to freefall down the standings.

  1. Kings Guard Gaming

Last week: 15
