Hood Leads Way To Next Round of THE TICKET For Cavs Legion GC

July 12, 2018

–RotoWire–

Cavs Legion GC avoided any chance at a potential upset, winning the final game of Thursday’s action during THE TICKET by a score of 68-60.

While the margin of victory might not seem lopsided, the game sure felt like it thanks to the efforts of small forward Hood. He was an offensive force, scoring 48 of his team’s 68 points, very nearly setting the record for most points scored in an NBA 2K League game in the process. Hood would come up just short of breaking the 50-point mark, but his scoring prowess was the nevertheless impressive. It’ll be interesting to see if Cavs Legion chooses to funnel its offense entirely through one player against some of the better competition at THE TICKET, as it seems unlikely Cavs Legion will be able to get by with just one player scoring in double figures such as Thursday.

On the Magic Gaming side of things, four players managed to score in double figures, but a dreadful 5-of-16 from the three-point line coupled with an inability to stop Hood ultimately doomed any chance Magic Gaming had at advancing through the first round.

Cavs Legion GC will play the winner of Friday’s match between Pacers Gaming and Mavs Gaming.
