Celtics Crossover Gaming punched their ticket to THE TICKET’s semifinal by tearing up Kings Guard Gaming 78-64.

Kings Guard Gaming were shooting lights out in the first half, making 14 out of their first 15 attempts from the field. However, their efficiency was marred by their turnover woes, as they coughed the ball up five times in the first four minutes of the game. That allowed the Celtics to go on a 10-4 run before the Kings snapped out of their funk and took a temporary lead thanks to back-to-back threes from ColeWorld2k.

Up one coming out of halftime, Celtics Crossover Gaming finally found the Kings’ achilles heel that would turn this game into a blowout. As a slashing rebounding center, Mootyy was unable to stop the more athletic frontcourt archetypes that ARS0NAL x and Mel East used in this game. Knowing that his teammates had this advantage, oFAB took less shots from the field — he took 11 tries in the first half and only 5 in the second — and started to feed his big men in the paint.

The Celtics won the second half 43-30 thanks to ARS0NAL x and Mel East, who ended the game with 41 points and 14 rebounds combined. Even though he failed to do well on defense, Mootyy tried to keep his team within striking distance of Boston with 27 points, but the Kings’ turnover issues and overall poor second half shooting ultimately knocked them out of the game.

While the Celtics still have to play through THE TICKET, their next game of the regular season will be against Kings Guard Gaming on July 20. Needless to say, Sacramento has a good idea of what Boston will bring when they return to start the final stretch of the regular season and will be ready to exact revenge as they try to put together a case for making the NBA 2K League Playoffs.
