With star point guard Hood returning to the lineup for Cavs Legion, one would have thought that this team would have been running like a well-oiled machine once again. It seems, however, that there is some rust present in his return, as the team was completely blown out of the water in this game.
The first quarter was close enough, as the Knicks took a narrow 18-14 lead into the second frame. It was at this point, however, that New York came alive in a manner that we haven’t seen yet this season. Using a 21-4 run lead powered by G O O F Y 757, the Knicks took full control over the game and went up 46-21 at the half.
The second half was more of the same as there was nothing at all that the Cavs could do to stop the Knicks from doing whatever they wanted from anywhere on the field. G O O F Y 757 and IdrisDaGoat6 were quite the one-two punch, finishing with 49 points and the driving force of this upset win.
For the Cavs, this was yet another speed bump in what was a hot start to the season. After showing off during THE TIPOFF, the team has cooled off immensely. The return of Hood to the lineup should have been an exciting time for the team, but instead he only tallied seven points in what was their worst loss of the season.
Knicks Gaming will head into the quarterfinals with a head full of steam to take on Warriors Gaming Squad on Saturday afternoon.
