Cavs Legion GC picked up their third win a row, defeating Knicks Gaming in a 82-58 contest to open Week 7 of the NBA 2K League.
Thanks to the return of Hood, who has taken over as power forward instead of his normal point guard position, this Cavs Legion (6-3) squad looks better than ever. His abilities on the offensive end helped Cleveland yet again post an explosive performance, giving Knicks Gaming (2-6) fits all night long.
The biggest boon for this Cavs team was that the offense didn’t just come from Hood like it has in the past. That’s not to say Hood didn’t pull his weight, as he had a stellar game with 26 points and 12 rebounds. But it was Godddof2k that provided the Cavs an extra layer that propelled the them to this win. After tallying 10 of the team’s first 12 points, Godddof2k finished with 22 points and seven rebounds on 11-of-17 shooting. If that wasn’t enough, Turnupdefense added another 14 points while Sick x 973 tallied a whopping 20 assists to round out the scoresheet.
Outside of a 13-6 run in the second quarter that closed the gap a bit, New York struggled all throughout this game. Whether it was turnovers, missed shots, or an overall lack of execution, the Knicks couldn’t seem to get on the same page at any point. They did manage to get three members in double figures, but it just wasn’t enough to match the explosive power of Cavs Legion.
