Bucks Gaming Dominant on Glass in Win

June 22, 2018

Bucks Gaming has now won two straight after defeating Kings Guard Gaming 79-70 on Friday, as every one of the starters scored in double figures.

Offensive rebounds were the story in this contest, as the Milwaukee low post duo of oLarry and BigMeek registered close to double digits in offensive boards, taking advantage of Sacremento’s curious decision not to run a player with the shot blocking archetype.

Besides the rebounds, BigMeek and oLarry were dominant scoring, as the duo combined for 41 points. Most of the buckets came from the baseline and mid range jumpers, as point guard Game6Drake was lethal in terms of picking apart his opposition at the top of the key.

Using deft moves and a blow-by animation to open up a bit of wiggle room, Game6Drake would routinely punish any players sinking into the post to defend a potential layup opportunity, hitting the open man for an easy jumper. As a result, Bucks Gaming converted 11 of their first 12 shots from the field and finished the first half with a 76 percent mark from the field.

The biggest offensive surprise may have come from Bucks Gaming’s ability to knock down the three pointer, as a team not normally known for its outside shooting prowess connected on eight of their first 10 shots from beyond the arc through three quarters.

While Kings Guard Gaming’s worthingcolt and cowboyxcollazo both posted at least 15 points in this contest, the lack of control on the boards ultimately created too much of an uphill battle.
