Cavs Pull Off Improbable Comeback

May 31, 2019

Cavs Legion GC (7-5) made an incredible comeback against T-Wolves Gaming (3-6), winning 65-64 on a last-second shot Friday in the NBA 2K League.

AllHailTrey’s heroic steal into game-winning dunk capped off possibly the most sensational comeback win in 2K League history. Things looked grim for the Cavs early on, ending the half down 43-22. T-Wolves forward JMoneyRep817 had 22 points before the two-minute warning in the second quarter, getting to the basket at will. Cavs point guard Savage struggled, scoring only a handful of poitns and committing turnovers. The energy that the Cavs had displayed earlier in the evening against Hawks Talon was gone, replaced with a lethargic, downtrodden squad. It seemed as though we were on our way to a blowout thanks to the T-Wolves’ return for the Hood trade that put JMoneyRep817 in Minnesota.

The Cavs didn’t give up, though, and spent the second half clawing its way back from the defecit. oLARRY put up a big statline that only he can from the center position, ending with 18 points, four rebounds, five assists and five steals. Strainer put in 12 points while Savage found his teeth and finished with 11, but it was AllHailTrey that made the difference. AllHailTrey went off in the second half, ending the game with 22 points and five steals to earn Player of the Game honors. Outscoring the T-Wolves 23-to-six in the fourth quarter, Cavs Legion made the seemingly impossible happen with grit and determination, improving their playoff changes with a fourth consecutive win, while T-Wolves Gaming will go back home and wonder how they ruined a 31-point night from JMoneyRep817.
