Hawks Talon GC Sweep Raptors Uprising GC In Two-Game Set Friday

Hawks Talon GC swept Raptors Uprising GC on Friday night, winning the first game by a score of 74-68 and the second contest with a 66-60 result.

Hawks Talon GC and Raptors Uprising played two tight contests, and Game 1 saw Hawks Talon FC jump out to an early lead with a 15-12 score in the first quarter. Raptors Uprising seemed to take control just before the break, though, limiting Hawks Talon GC to just 14 points and racing out to a nine-point lead with a 26-14 advantage in the second frame. Hawks Talon GC changed their attitude after halftime and responded with a similar dose in the third quarter, retaking the lead with a 24-14 in quarter No. 3. With a slim one-point lead, Hawks Talon needed a nice fourth to close things out, and they did exactly that, winning the fourth quarter by a five to secure the victory.

All five players for Hawks Talon GC scored in double digits in this one, with Swann pacing the team with 21 points. Lee recorded a 19-point, 20-rebound double-double and Ceez also notched one of his own with 13 points and 12 dimes. BP had 11 points, and Fakiee recorded 10 points and three rebounds. The second game of the two-game set followed the same story as Game 1, but it was more of a back-and-forth affair. Raptors Uprising secured the lead with a 16-14 score following the first five minutes but saw Hawks Talon GC respond and take a two-point advantage at the halftime break. Raptors Uprising responded in the third quarter with a 17-11 score and were up by four with just five minutes left on the clock. However, Hawks Talon GC was better down the stretch and mounted a massive comeback. Their 22-12 advantage in the final quarter ultimately allowed them to escape by a comfortable margin.

Ceez was the best player for Hawks Talon GC in Game 2 with 26 points and three assists, and Lee had another impressive two-way effort with 11 points, 14 boards, five assists and two blocks.
