Heat Check Gaming Sweep Hawks Talon GC In Saturday Action

RotoWire I Juan Pablo Aravena

Heat Check Gaming delivered a dominant performance in both games to cruise through their two-game series against Hawks Talon GC on Saturday. They won the first game by a 71-67 score, and they also topped their rivals in Game 2 by a 73-52 score.

Heat Check Gaming used a strong performance in Game 1 of the series and jumped out to a 23-15 lead in the first quarter. That advantage would be enough to close the game out, but they had to witness Hawks Talon GC trying to attempt a comeback in the subsequent quarters. Hawks Talon won both the second (21-18) and third (17-15) quarters, so this was a three-point game with only five minutes left on the score. However, Heat Check Gaming closed things out in the final quarter and won the final period by just one point (15-14) and that was enough to secure the victory in Game 1. However, it was a close game that could’ve easily gone in the other direction had Heat Check Gaming been able to tightened things up in the final minutes.

SAV delivered a strong performance as the starting floor general for Heat Check Gaming and finished with 25 points and 10 assists, while Killeyy contributed 18 points. Hotshot also had a double-double since he contributed 16 points and 12 rebounds while also adding four assists and four steals. As for Hawks Talon GC, the backcourt duo of Ceez and BP combined for 49 of the team’s 67 points — Ceez ended with 25 points and six dimes, while BP finished with 24 points and three assists. Lee only had nine points, but he also chipped in with 13 rebounds.

Heat Check Gaming carried the momentum of their Game 1 victory into the second game of the series, and they looked completely dominant from start to finish. They grabbed a 19-15 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, as they also won the subsequent quarters with absolute ease. Indeed, a 20-19 lead in the second quarter gave Heat Check Gaming a five-point advantage at the break, and they pulled away for good following a 15-6 score in the third quarter. Heat Check Gaming also won the fourth quarter by a 19-12 score, and they looked absolutely dominant from start to finish in Game 2.

Hotshot and SAV carried Heat Check Gaming to victory once again — the big man finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds, while the floor general contributed 21 points and 15 assists to the winning cause. Killeyy also added 17 points. As for Hawks Talon GC, Ceez was perhaps the only player that stood out since he ended with 23 points and six assists.
