Jazz Gaming delivered a 2-0 series win over Lakers Gaming on Friday evening.
Jazz Gaming bounced back from their 1-1 tie against Blazer5 Gaming earlier this week and delivered a comprehensive 2-0 victory over Lakers Gaming on Friday after dominating both contests with ease. Jazz Gaming set the tone of Game 1 quite early and raced out to a 28-15 lead following the first quarter, and they wouldn’t relinquish that advantage the rest of the way. Even though the other three quarters were tighter than the opening five minutes of action, one thing that remained consistent was the fact that Jazz Gaming won each one of the periods — the subsequent three quarters ended with scores of 20-15, 22-20, and 22-19, respectively, as Jazz Gaming ended winning by a 92-69 score. The fact the Jazz Gaming scored at least 20 points in each quarter while keeping Lakers Gaming below the 20-point threshold in three of them was a clear sign of how dominant Jazz Gaming looked from start to finish.
All five players of Jazz Gaming scored in double digits in Game 1 of the series, with Splashy leading the way thanks to a 32-point, 11-assist performance. Ria had 20 points and 12 rebounds, but he also added four assists and three steals, while Expose chipped in with 16 points. As for Lakers Gaming, ReeseDaGod and Krazy paced the losing team with 21 points each — ReeseDaGod notched five assists and three rebounds, while Krazy completed a double-double after pulling down 12 boards. BOHIO was another productive presence for Lakers Gaming, as he ended with 16 points and seven assists.
Jazz Gaming wasn’t happy with winning just Game 1, though, and unlike what happened in their series against Blazer5 Gaming, they didn’t have problems to run away with an even more dominant victory in Game 2 — they secured a 100-58 win to complete the sweep. Similar to what happened in Game 1 of the series, Jazz Gaming set the tone of the game early and secured a 25-8 lead after the first quarter and wouldn’t let that lead slip away. Jazz Gaming scored at least 23 points in each quarter and limited Lakers Gaming to 19 points or fewer in each period as well. The three remaining quarters ended with scores of 29-15, 23-19, and 23-16, respectively. With the win, Jazz Gaming reached the 100-point mark for the first time this season.
Splashy looked even better in Game 2, as he ended with 39 points and 15 assists to lead Jazz Gaming to a comfortable victory. Ria had 23 points and 13 rebounds, but he also contributed six assists and three blocks. Expose (15 points) and Lord Beezus (14 points, six rebounds, four steals) also delivered solid performances for Jazz Gaming. At the other end, ReeseDaGod led the Lakers with 19 points and eight assists, while Krazy also had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. BOHIO notched 14 points, seven assists, and three rebounds, while Seese ended with 11 points.
