Wizards District Gaming didn’t have major problems securing a 2-0 sweep over Pacers Gaming on Wednesday night, winning by a scores of 86-58 and 76-63, respectively.

The Wizards dominated the matchup right from the tip-off and never gave the Pacers a chance to put up a fight. This was especially noticeable in Game 1, as the Wizards quickly jumped out to a 17-14 lead in the first quarter and they’d never let it go. The explosive offense would come in the remaining three quarters and, as a bit of foreshadowing for how the rest of the series would play out, the Wizards were up by 14 at the half-time break.

Wizards District Gaming never took the foot off the gas and also won the remaining two quarters by comfortable scores, 20-13 and 26-19, respectively. The big reason why they notched a 28-point win was their strong defense, though — they forced 16 turnovers and recorded 12 steals. That was the foundation of their Game 1 victory.

JBM had an excellent performance in Game 1, as he finished with 32 points and 11 assists. Just_Awkward notched 24 points with five steals and three blocks, while Dayfri posted 18 points, six rebounds and five assists. Jomar had 13 points and seven assists as the Pacers’ point guard, while WoLF (15 points) and Bobby Buckets (14 points, 15 boards) produced solid efforts as well.

Pacers Gaming looked more composed in Game 2 of the series and notched a 16-14 lead following the first quarter. That would’ve been a sign of things to come, but the Wizards quickly stopped them and flipped the script before half-time — Wizards DG responded with a 21-12 second quarter, edging their rivals by seven at the break.

The Pacers wouldn’t recover from losing that first-quarter lead, as the Wizards would have little issue steamrolling their opponents to complete the sweep. After winning the remaining two quarters by 17-16 and 24-19, respectively, the Wizards sealed the deal and won the series 2-0 thanks to a 76-63 Game 2 victory.

JBM paced the Wizards with 25 points and nine assists in Game 2, as he shot 11-of-15 from the field. ReeseDaGod notched 19 points and two assists, while shooting 7-of-7 from the field and 5-of-5 from three-point range, and Dayfri chipped in with 14 points and 10 boards. Jomar (27 points) and Bobby Buckets (16 points, 15 rebounds) did a good job for the Pacers, but couldn’t carry their team to a comeback.
